I started theatre when I was eleven. I became obsessed with the stage. I took theater my freshmen, junior and senior year and have loved every second of it. The head rush you get when you’re up there, the constant butterflies spinning around in your stomach, the way my costumes flowed, how everything shimmered under the stage lights. The amazing people that enter your life and have the same understanding that you that the stage is where they belong and the best feeling in the world is when you’re up there.

My interest in photography started when I took a yearbook class my junior year. I documented everything. You would never see me without some form of camera around my neck. One day I went to go get prints from a local shop which was ran by a photographer. It was my first prints from a film camera so I was pretty excited. The photographer himself handed me my prints and said I was very talented. He liked to print my shots himself because he wanted to see how I was developing.

I want to incorporate my love of art into everything I do. Someday I want to be in Hollywood and write, direct and shoot my own movies. I want to take what is considered beautiful in the world ugly. I want to take what is considered ugly and make it beautiful. Nothing is as it seems and I want people to see beyond the nothing. I want to stimulate thoughts and to question what is and what might be.

Studying art will give me insight to how others think of me and give me even greater strength to take criticism and turn it into a positive. I want to live in a creative atmosphere that replenishes indefinitely.
